You might read my previous post about due dates on several upcoming projects. The Create a Creature is due this Wednesday, October 31. The Science Current Event is due November 15th. The Biography Book Report is due November 16th. Lastly, the Science Portfolio is due December 5th.
I have tried to spread them out and keep them separate from the Social Studies and other projects.
We will send report cards and ThinkLink results home this week. Please feel free to email or call with any concerns. You can also request a conference.
Please check out the weekly agenda on my web page.
As we begin the second quarter, I wanted to let you know about the science projects that will be due this time.
First, we have the Create a Creature project which is due October 31. Details are posted now on my web page.
Second, we will have a current event due on November 15th.
Last, we will have the Science Portfolio due on December 5th.
For Language Arts, we will have one book report and one AR test due. I have not set the dates yet, but will post them before the week is out.
Students and Parents,
Please enjoy your fall break. Classes will resume on Wednesday, October 10th. I appreciate the parents who helped their students get their missing work submitted this week. I had many students who were able to raise their grade a whole letter by turning in missing work.
Have a great vacation!
Mrs. Hatcher
It is hard to believe that October is here. We have already completed many projects and learned some new skills and concepts.
We have been working with the students to remind them to get everything they need from their locker. Now that we are two months into the school year, students will be given a conduct check if they must return to lockers. THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RETURN TO LOCKERS FOR MAPS SUPPLIES!!! This may mean a detention or other consequence.
Report cards will go home this month following the end of the first grading period. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Check out the weekly agenda on my web page (link at the right).

It is a busy time of year. One upcoming event you should try to attend is the Open House/Club Fair on September 20th. Students can find out about the clubs and activities offered at Schilling Farms.
